Mailbox Monday #7 by Kimmy

Welcome to this weeks Mailbox Monday!

Well hello there!

It's Kimmy here today bringing you what I got in my mailbox.  I was so excited after being on holidays for a week and coming back to parcels awaiting to be opened.  I hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend.  So lets see then:

First up

The following book I received in the mail I won through a twitter competition from the lovely Erin Lawless.  I am looking forward to reading it once I get my netgalley/author/publisher reviews more under control...(Rinny knows I am addicted to netgalley lol)

The Best Thing I Never Had by Erin Lawless

Blurb

If you’re a fan of Mhairi McFarlane’s You Had Me at Hello or David Nicholls’ One Day, then you will love our new acquisition from contemporary romance author Erin Lawless!

Miles and Nicky are getting married. Unfortunately, their wedding party is a tangle of ex-housemates, ex-friends and ex-lovers. So this wedding isn’t just a wedding, it’s a reunion. Can anything be salvaged from the past? And what really happened between them all, back at university?

Find out in this wonderful contemporary romance.

Next up

I received the following arc from the lovely Tina Mories at Abrams & Chronicle Books.  This book is due for release in October and I can't wait to read it.  Also check out the awesome bookmark featuring the splintered series and the cover of Ensnared which is due for release in 2015, another one I can't wait to get my hands on!

The Cure for Dreaming by Cat Winters

Blurb

Olivia Mead is a headstrong, independent girl—a suffragist—in an age that prefers its girls to be docile. It’s 1900 in Oregon, and Olivia’s father, concerned that she’s headed for trouble, convinces a stage mesmerist to try to hypnotize the rebellion out of her. But the hypnotist, an intriguing young man named Henri Reverie, gives her a terrible gift instead: she’s able to see people’s true natures, manifesting as visions of darkness and goodness, while also unable to speak her true thoughts out loud. These supernatural challenges only make Olivia more determined to speak her mind, and so she’s drawn into a dangerous relationship with the hypnotist and his mysterious motives, all while secretly fighting for the rights of women. Winters breathes new life into history once again with an atmospheric, vividly real story, including archival photos and art from the period throughout.
